Very disappointing experience or, rather, we didn't get to experience the museum at all, because we weren't let in! What a horrible customer service! Me and my partner heard a lot about this place and wanted to visit for a long time. Recently, we were on the road running from hurricane Irma and just happened to be passing this place. We had our cat with us and naturally, we thought that the stuff would be understanding enough to let us have the carrier with us, or leave the carrier in an air conditioned space for the time of our visit.. Didn't happen. On an 80°F day, the stuff offered us to leave our cat in the car if we want to visit. They also suggested, that one of us can seat OUTSIDE with the cat, while the other one is experiencing the museum. I just can't believe that a facility of this sort, located right off of i-10 with so many people passing by, can't figure out a place for a cat carrier. So if you're traveling with a pet - forget about visiting, you're not welcome.
Awesome way to spend a day!! Great for families, afternoon dates, or on your own. Educational and fun! Where else can you see an actual rocket? They offer a full calendar of events, with various new and exciting things always going on. Near NASA.
So much fun for all ages!...lots of comfortable seating for spectators who like to sit and watch. Very informative, before you know it, you'll learn something new. Definitely do the bus tour! The gift shop has something for everyone...all price ranges, the kids in my family always get astronaut ice cream!...Even the people who grumble about going end up having fun. It's constantly changing so every time you go it's different and fun!...don't pass this one up on the way, and leave enough time so you don't have to rush through. After I do this, I like to hit the Epic Buffet at Hollywood Casino...there might be a wait..but worth it!...Enjoy!
We got to the center at 2pm. Cafeteria was already closed. Last movie showing was at 2 so couldn't do that. Some of the exhibits we're under construction. Stock in the gift shop was low. Over all very disappointed, especially for the price. Would not suggest to anyone.
Pretty fun with the kids. Not a whole lot going on there. Air and space artifacts are cool. Natural science exhibits with the plants should be bigger. Kinda pricy for what it is though. I guess I just don't understand the purpose of places like this. Would be cool if there was a legitimate research center that you could tour and see what problems scientist and engineers are working on in a lab.
